Mighty Mary had their token male in Dave Dellenbaugh, and this Sunday, as long as the boat is helmed by a woman, men can crew (token or otherwise). The Corinthians have modified their traditional Women’s Race and created the new Women at the Helm Race. The race will start at 1:00 pm in the usual race area just north of Canoe Island. PHRF, open to all sailboats on the lake. In the past, many of the female sailors on the lake banded together to crew a single boat, which kept the number of boats on the start line low. By allowing men to join as trimmers, rail meat and “twing chicks” we hope to encourage more women and more boats to compete.
