Just after the start of the Corinthian’s Single-Handed Race, a storm cell rolled through the southern basic of Lake George, and the accompanying violent wind gusts wreaked havoc on the racers. All but one abandoned any thoughts of finishing, and a couple of boats ended up on the rocks on the western shore of Long Island. The race and storm generated a lot of comments on the mailing list, you can read the thread archives if you missed it the first time around.
