A reminder from the Rochester Yacht Club: they’re hosting a J/24 District 7 pennant series regatta on May 31 through June 1. You can download (in pdf format) the Notice of Race, the Registration Form and the Sailing Instructions for the event.

There’s still snow in the forecast, but it’s never too early to start planning for the Changing of the Colors. This year is the 30th Anniversary of Fleet 24’s J/24 regatta, so we should see at least as many boats as last year’s near-record fleet of 64. Check out the Fleet 24 page for all the details.

Update — 44 of 60 available slots are already spoken for as of April 5! Get your registration in early.

The Z flags and Black flags abound, not completely unexpected when you get 70 J/24s together. New York’s Mike Ingham on Brain Cramp is doing well, currently in fourth place after three days of racing in the warm weather and great breeze on Mexico’s Banderas Bay.
